Fujikura Laser Source: the best choice for aluminum welding

24 Jul 2024

The peculiarity of welding on aluminum, an extremely reflective material, is that most of the energy placed on the material gets reflected.

This means that the return laser pulse re-enters the fiber, making the welding process unstable and, in the worst case, damaging optical parts inside the source.

Thanks to the technology developed by Fujikura, which makes its sources highly unaffected by Back Reflection, we can weld reflective materials such as aluminum without ever altering power stability and without causing problems to optical parts.

This feature is especially useful when aluminum welding requires the processing head to be positioned at 90º, and thus exposure to Back Reflection is maximum.
