3D printing with metal powders must necessarily use inert gases such as nitrogen and argon to cope with two important elements:
- Avoid metal oxidation when in contact with oxygen
- Avoid explosions caused by some metals dust
For this reason it is essential to constantly monitor the residual oxygen level inside the printing chamber, where inert gas is inserted.
Tecnosens presents TEC-OXY, a device for measuring oxygen based on zirconium oxide technology. TEC-OXY is available both in OEM version and in complete version and with DIN rail guide housing. The sensitive element can be remote from the electronics thanks to the cable that connects the two parts.
TEC-OXY is available in various measurement ranges in order to cover all stages of processing: from the initial insertion of the inert gas into the chamber, to the processing stage at low oxygen concentrations.
