MooLogger is a sniffer produced by Tecnosens in Italy for monitoring the exhaled breath of ruminants (dairy cows, beef cattle, goats, sheep, etc.).
The NDIR technology used to analyse the gas flow from the sampling nose, positioned in feeders near the animal's head, allows the measurement of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) contained within the sampled portion of breath.
The product was developed in close collaboration with international universities, research centers and industries to offer all the safety and robustness features that make it suitable for working in a barns that are not constantly monitored.
The data measurement and storage platform was developed by Tecnosens with the aim of making the product flexible, so that it can be used in different installations such as milking robots, automatic feeders, bunks or specially built structures.
MooLogger is provided with an on-board memory where all data is saved for a minimum of 1 year of continuos operations. The customer owns the data and can export it through manual CSV export or CSV sent automatically via FTP / SFTP.
APIs are available to integrate the MooLogger into existing data centralization platforms.
A dedicated web page runs in each MooLogger to access the MooLogger for parameters configuration, data viewing/export and device monitoring, made possible thanks to a large network of integrated sensors (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, etc.).
